OPIQ TEAM · FOR ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING FIRMS

Does your fee really cover the hours?

Your team logs which client and which type of work they're on with one click. You see hours and labor cost against the fee as you go — not only when the job is finished.

01 · HOW IT HELPS

Three problems every firm with fixed fees knows.

01

The fee is fixed, the hours aren't

Import issued invoices from Excel; labor cost is calculated from logged hours and employee cost. For any period (up to 12 months or a custom range) you see revenue, labor cost and margin for every client.

02

Where the hours stretch

For every client you see hours by type of work — e.g. concept design, design development, revisions, site supervision — and who in the firm worked on it.

03

Extra work goes unbilled

On every entry you choose: billable, partly billable or not billable. The "By client" Excel export lists the work ready for invoicing — or for a conversation with the client.

  • work is logged per client; a short description says which part of the job it was
  • live team board: who is working for which client right now
  • fees and salaries are visible only to the owner or people with finance access
  • runs in the browser and on phones — on site too
02 · EXAMPLE CALCULATION

Same fee, very different result.

An architect with a labor cost of €4,000 per month costs €22.99 per hour (€4,000 ÷ 174 hours). This is how opiq TEAM works out what each client really brings in:

ClientFeeHoursLabor costMargin
Client A
single-family house
€9,000.00180.0 h€4,137.93+€4,862.07
Client B
single-family house
€9,000.00420.0 h€9,655.17−€655.17
Client C
apartment renovation
€4,000.0060.0 h€1,379.31+€2,620.69

Illustration with fictional data. Client B pays the same fee as Client A but took 2.3 times as many hours. If you see this while the work is running, you can raise additional work with the client in time. Try it with your own numbers in the free client profitability calculator.

05 · FAQ

Questions from architecture and engineering firms

Can I track individual projects?

opiq TEAM calculates profitability per client, not per project. If a client has several projects, separate the work by type of work and description; a separate per-project report is not available at the moment.

Can employees see fees and salaries?

No. Revenue, costs and profitability are visible only to the owner, admins or people you explicitly grant access.

What about our clients' data?

You enter the client name, the fee (issued invoices) and the work done — not drawings or documentation. Data is stored on servers in the European Union; we never share it and access it only at your explicit request when you need help.

Won't logging take up too much of my team's time?

It's one click to start and one to stop. A forgotten timer stops itself at midnight, and past work can be added in seconds.

Is this employee monitoring?

No. opiq TEAM does not record screens, keystrokes or location. Employees log which client they work for themselves.

What happens after 14 days?

The app reminds you a few days before. If you don't subscribe, access closes — your data stays stored and is available as soon as you subscribe.

Is the app available in English?

Yes. The app interface is available in English and Slovenian.

Where can I get help?

In the app, click "Report a problem" in the menu, or email info@opiq.si.
