HOW TO USE IT

A client timesheet in four steps

01

Log each block of work

One row per task: date, client, what you did and the hours. Use decimals — 1.5 h is 1 hour 30 minutes.

02

Mark billable time

Untick "Billable" for internal work, sales or fixed-fee extras so they count as hours but not as an amount.

03

Check totals per client

The summary adds billable and non-billable hours per client and the amount to invoice (hours × rate).

04

Export

Download a CSV for Excel or Google Sheets, or print to PDF and attach it to the invoice.

WHEN A SPREADSHEET ISN'T ENOUGH

One timesheet is easy. Ten people's timesheets every week are not.

With a team, the work is no longer logging — it's chasing missing sheets, fixing client names and merging files. In opiq TEAM your team logs work per client with one click as they go (timer, "My day" or a manual entry), and you see hours per client, team and employee, plus which clients cost more than they pay.

FAQ

Timesheet questions

What should a client timesheet include?

At minimum: the date, the client, what was done, the hours, whether the time is billable and the hourly rate. With those six fields you can total hours per client, separate billable from non-billable time and calculate the amount to invoice.

Can I use this timesheet in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. Click "Download CSV" and open the file in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or LibreOffice. The file contains every entry plus the per-client totals.

Can I print it or save it as a PDF?

Yes. Click "Print / save as PDF". The print layout hides the website and keeps only the timesheet and the per-client summary, so you can attach it to an invoice or send it to a client for approval.

Is my data stored or sent anywhere?

Entries are saved only in your own browser (local storage) so they survive a page reload. Nothing is sent to a server. Click "Clear all" to remove them.

How do I calculate billable hours per client?

Add up the hours of all billable entries for that client. The amount to invoice is billable hours × hourly rate. The template does this automatically in the summary below the table.

When does a spreadsheet timesheet stop working?

Usually when more than a few people log time. Then someone has to collect files, fix client names and merge sheets every week. In opiq TEAM each employee logs work per client with one click, and you see hours and profitability per client, team and employee — without screen recording or keystroke tracking.
